Crochet Patterns

by Katrin Affolter

Many of my projects start with an idea, but without a concrete pattern or instructions. I try to write understandable patterns that hopefully not only I can follow. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone who I can give them to read through and repeat. Therefore, my patterns may not always be clearly formulated or may even contain errors. So don't be afraid to write to me if you have any questions or find errors.

Dragon Jacket

Laflina, Wollspinnerei Vetsch
Hook Size
2mm
Gauge

10 x 10cm ~ 24M x 30.5R

Weight
577g

Remarks

The jacket is indirectly crocheted "in one piece." First, the front panels are crocheted separately, once you've passed the neckline, the two front panels are crocheted together. Additionally, once the sleeves are finished, the front and back panels are joined directly. That means for the last stitch of a row, you also insert the hook into the last/first stitch of the corresponding row on the front panel and pull the yarn through - essentially "crocheting two stitches together".
Moreover, the front post stitches of the dragon's tail are connected with those already made on the front panel to create a seamless transition.

I wrote these instructions for myself. I'm terribly bad at explaining how I make these post stitch patterns - believe me, I've tried many times. If you'd like to give it a shot, feel free to email me anytime with our specific questions. I'll do my best to answer them as thoroughly as possible.
